How do I use Awaken Arousal Oil?

Is Awaken Arousal Oil edible and how does it taste?

Awaken Arousal Oil is made with food-grade ingredients and is a delicious addition to oral play. However, we do not recommend consuming it as you would a daily tonic or supplement. 

It contains only natural ingredients and no artificial flavors or scents. Some customers report tasting hints of chocolate and mint; for others, vanilla and ginger stand out more. As everyone has different tastes, what comes through for you will be unique to your senses. 

What are the differences between Awaken Arousal Oil and Intimacy Sex Oil with CBD? 

Each bottle of Awaken Arousal Oil contains 30 milligrams of broad-spectrum CBD and plant botanicals such as kava, peppermint, ginger, and cacao. This synergistic blend works with your body to activate libido, ease access to orgasm, and increase orgasm intensity. Awaken is intended for application before sexual activity and approximately 15-20 min before any lubricants.

Intimacy Sex Oil is formulated to promote moisture, reduce friction, and ease discomfort. It can be applied generously during sexual play for added glide. Intimacy Sex Oil contains only two ingredients: organic MCT Coconut Oil and broad-spectrum extract from USDA organic-certified, regeneratively grown USA hemp.

Can I use Awaken Arousal Oil with a condom?

Since it is oil-based, Awaken Arousal Oil should not be used with latex or poly-isoprene condoms. Oil-based substances can degrade the material of latex condoms, making them more likely to break or tear. 

If you'd like to use Awaken Arousal Oil with condoms, it is advisable to choose alternative barrier methods such as polyurethane condoms. Please carefully read the packaging and instructions of the specific brand and type of condom you choose to ensure that it is compatible with oil-based products.

Can I use Awaken Arousal Oil with sex toys? 

Yes! However, Awaken is oil-based, and oils can degrade latex. So please choose non-latex toys like silicone, glass, elastomer, and stainless steel.

Is Awaken Arousal Oil a lubricant? 

Awaken is intended for application before sexual activity to support the body’s natural arousal response.   

Some people like to use Awaken CBD in combination with a lubricant. If you do, just be sure to apply Awaken first and allow at least 15 minutes for it to take effect so it doesn’t become diluted.

Is Awaken Arousal Oil pH balanced? 

Because Awaken is an oil-based formula, it does not have a pH value. We refrain from using any of the common ingredients that can disturb the vagina’s pH, such as glycerin, parabens, or synthetic fragrances in our products, which you can read up on here. 

We recommend doing a patch test on the inner wrist or forearm before using our products. 

For some, the vaginal microbiome can be easily disrupted. If you know you are sensitive or tend to be predisposed to UTIs, yeast infections, and other common imbalances, please check in with your healthcare provider to ensure our product will be a good fit. 

Does Awaken Arousal Oil work on the penis? 

We created Awaken with the unique skin of the vulva and vagina in mind.

Because the skin of the penis is less absorbent (this may vary, especially if uncircumcised), the primary effect of Awaken on the penis will be to moisturize and ease friction. 

While some male customers have reported having a stimulating experience, most report pleasure from the collective experience with their partner.

 Can I use Awaken Arousal Oil if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding? 

Awaken contains broad-spectrum CBD. Owing to limited research, the effects of CBD on breastfeeding and pregnancy are not definitively known. Please check with your healthcare practitioner to learn your options.

Does Awaken Arousal Oil contain THC, and will it cause me to fail a drug test? 

Awaken is made with hemp oil (not THC), and it is unlikely that you would test positive for anything but CBD after using it.
